Finally! It’s only taken four months, but I’ve finally scrapped Evan’s first day of school pictures. I really enjoyed it – adorable pictures, fun paper, and a new layout I’ve really been wanting to try.
The first page is made with a 12×12 file folder so all of the report cards/drawings/school work can be stowed away easily – I’ve been using them for all school year layouts and love how handy they are.
Probably the most memorable moment of Evan’s first day back to school was Owen’s reaction at the bus stop. When he realized that big brother was going to be swallowed up by the huge yellow bus and would be away for a while, he broke down in heartbreaking sobs. But all was made better when I whispered to him “but you get to play with all of his toys while he’s gone!”
